sēk Sauna Studio (pronounced “seek”) is an infrared sauna studio with the mission to improve the health, wellbeing, and quality of life of its clients. This mission started while owner Cat Bryson was learning to balance her own mental and physical health.

While working in a corporate position, Cat knew her real passion was helping others.

She tried infrared sauna therapy and found that it regulated her blood pressure, decreased common colds, and improved her mental health + overall feelings of wellness. She wanted to offer these services to others in unique packages.

“We see tears from clients with health concerns where this treatment is helping their lives + helping them cope not only physically but mentally. We always say mind, body, and spirit,” explains Cat.

So, what is it?

Infrared is a similar wavelength to the human body tissue. The water molecules in our deep fat tissue absorb the infrared, creating energy and heating our body from the core to the outside (whereas the heat in a traditional sauna heats the skin). 20% of sweat using infrared is toxins and other “bad stuff” stored in our body.

Infrared is said to stimulate white blood cells + T-cells, help with cardiac conditioning (read: keeping the heart healthy), help treat chronic high blood pressure, burn significant calories, help improve skin conditions, and so much more.

At sēk (1201 Liberty Pike, Ste. 121, Franklin), guests can use an Infrared Sauna Pod or an Infrared Sauna Cabin.

Other services offered:

  • Pressotherapy (a lymphatic drainage suit)
  • Celluma LED light therapy (for anti-aging, pain relief, and acne)

Guests can take advantage of a la carte or packaged services. sēk offers a variety of membership options and packages to choose from — and if you’re looking for last minute gifts, they sell gift cards as well.
