Agnes Scott — founder + executive director of NeighborH.O.O.D. — received a $9,500 microfunding award from Metro Arts’ Thrive program for NeighborH.O.O.D.’s art project. The project (pictured above) is a comic book titled "Andrew, a Boy Called Hair, and the Edgehill Polar Bears Use Their Superpowers to Save Their Community."
The award money will be used to create cooperative entrepreneurial + arts opportunities for the Nashville community, focusing on people in communities of color.
Congrats to all of the Davidson County residents who participated in the creation of this comic book. 🥳
