Hello Friday. April 19 2024 Okay, the survey doesn’t say anything yet. But it will. Stick with us here. This is gonna be good.
Basically, we need a little help. And when you need help, it’s important to ask the right people the right questions. Photo by @rawpixel.com via freepik.com Every morning more than 38,793 of you have invited us into your inbox. And each day we do our very best to provide you with the timely, relevant info so you can get the most out of our great city. Sometimes that means we have to go investigate the newest rooftop bar, the latest city council news, or what's going on with that downtown development everyone is talking about. It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it. But now we need to make sure we are investigating the right things and sending you where you want to go.
Today we are asking you to take 2 minutes to tell us a little more about yourself. Just 2 minutes. The line to get a morning latte takes longer than that. Feel free to skip any questions you don’t want to answer. We don’t want to pry. (Okay, we do, but just a little bit.)
And 1 more thing: We will be picking 1 lucky NASHtoday survey participant to win a $100 gift card. That’s many, many lattes, Nash.
Thanks in advance for your help, -Katie + Dylan

Premier Parking’s computer vision technology by Metropolis helps you park with ease | Photo by the NASHtoday team We’ve all been there. You’re stuck in rush hour traffic, running late to dinner or a show, and the last thing you want to do is deal with a parking meter.
Enter: Premier Parking’s new computer vision technology by Metropolis. Here’s how it works and how you can #TryThis. What we tried (with pricing): I visited Premier Parking’s White Front Garage at 205 2nd Ave. N. (1 of ~20 downtown locations with cameras) to get a firsthand look at how the technology works. For first-time users, drive into the garage (bonus: no gates or ticket booths to hold you up), scan one of the QR codes posted around the facility + begin the registration process. It takes about ~1 min. to sign up with your email, license plate and payment method.

Beginning Nov. 5, the Frist Art Museum will be home to the first museum exhibit in the US to focus on medieval art made in Bologna, Italy.
“Medieval Bologna: Art for a University City” will feature manuscripts, paintings, and sculptures dating back to the 13th century.
Being home to the oldest university in Europe, Bologna fostered a large population of readers, causing the city to become the main center of manuscript product south of the Alps + a key player in medieval book trade. The Frist’s exhibit will shine a spotlight on textbooks, essays, and more that made these accomplishments possible.
