Heads up travelers: beginning today, there will be several traffic stops at Nashville International Airport for the next two weeks.
Construction blasts will be taking place at the airport’s Donelson Pike entrance Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays through Jan. 26 (tentatively) in order to install a sanitary sewer.
How will this affect travelers? Here are some tips + information from BNA:
- Blasts will occur between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. + traffic will be stopped for intervals of 5-10 minutes.
- Affected areas include Donelson Pike near the airport’s entrance and exit ramps as well as exit points for Terminal Garage 1, Terminal Lot A, Economy Lot B, and Consolidated Rental Car Facility.
- Flyers should allow extra time to arrive + are encouraged to use the airport’s I-40E entrance.
- Economy Lot B parking shuttle service will pause during blasts.

Editor's pick: I'm very upset that I'll be out of town during Bonnaroo. Some of the acts I would be most excited for are The War on Drugs, Lord Huron, Bleachers, Still Woozy, All Time Low, and COIN. 💔
