Bean roll (n): a giant burrito made famous at the Gold Rush, a Rock Block bar and restaurant that closed in early 2019 after nearly 45 years in business.
When a local Reddit user set out to recreate the iconic local dish, a fellow Redditor came to the rescue with some even better news. Former Gold Rush cook Buster Depue has been cooking up bean rolls at Nations Bar and Grill since at least last fall.
Upon further investigation, it appears the dish is available as a special on Fridays.
